Since we live in Florida we don’t use our fire place a ton, maybe a few days out of the year…this DIY was perfect to add to my fireplace and it couldn’t be an easier project! This is totally removable just a fun DIY that’s looks SO pretty when you’re not actually burning wood in your fireplace!

Supplies needed:

Cardboard or foam board
Black spray paint
Hot glue gun and hot glue
Command poster strips
Measure your fireplace opening
Cut a piece of cardboard or foam board  to that size
Paint black (if not black already)
Use command strips and attach board to the front of your fireplace
Start gluing your wood slices.  You can pick the pattern and/or sizes of your wood slices to cover your entire fireplace opening.
Once your cardboard is completely covered, you’re done!
