May Stitch Fix

Share:

I’ve been receiving stitch fix boxes once a month since May 2017. I LOVE it but I’m not going to lie, it takes a few times for your stylist to get to know you and what you like! Telling them what you like out of your boxes is the key to being happy with what comes next in your box. If you aren’t familiar with Stitch Fix and how it works, here’s the breakdown about how the process works.

1. You start by filling out a style profile – you will answer questions about sizing, pricing, preferences, colors, etc. You can also write notes about likes/dislikes. If you have a Pinterest, you can link your fashion boards so your stylist can find out more about what you like.

2. Order your fix! You will be charged a $20 styling fee, however, if you keep any item you will be credited back the $20. You should always keep at least one (so you don’t lose the $20). You will receive 5 items each time usually made up of clothing, jewelry and shoes. I personally only want clothing in my fix so I just always let my stylist know but I have gotten some really cute shoes in the past!

3. Decide what you want to keep and what you want to send back (they give you a prepaid envelope)! You have 3 business days to send it back so use the time to try everything on and see what you have in your closet that pairs well with it. Don’t be afraid to say yes to something that you wouldn’t normally.  A lot of times I get something in the box that I think I’ll hate but then I try it on and end up falling in love with it! That’s what makes it so fun! If you keep all 5 items you will receive 25% off your entire fix!
So, with all of that out of the way, I was so excited for my May box. We had a wedding at the end of May so I made sure to tell my stylist that I would like a few options for an outdoor wedding!
So here is what came in my May Box!
First up is the Market & Spruce- Akia Ruffle Detail Cotton Blouse for $48 and the STS Blue- Bendon Distressed Scissor Hem Skinny Jeans for $59. I wasn’t sure about this top when I first got it out of the box but I thought it was cute when I tried it on so it went in the maybe pile. These jeans however I loved! The fit is great and the scissor hem is a big trend right now that I am totally on board with!
Next is the Skies are Blue- Heidi Cold Shoulder Ruffle Blouse for $54. I LOVED this top. Yellow is such a fun summer color and I’m a fan of a good floral print. This one was a keeper. Ellie (our dog) liked it too!
The last two pieces are both dresses that were great options for the wedding we went to! The first is the Fortune+Ivy- Keta Keyhole Ruffle Detail Maxi Dress for $58. The dark pink color is so fun and the halter neck was really flattering! I loved this dress for the summer months and it is so easy to dress up or down!
Last is the dress I ended up wearing to the beautiful wedding we attended in Kentucky. It is the Kaileigh- Tansey Off the Shoulder Maxi Dress for $64. The fit is really flattering, I loved the cobalt blue and floral print and it was dressy enough for an outdoor wedding! This is a dress I will be wearing all summer!
I ended up keeping everything in my box. The white shirt was the only thing that was a maybe but once again it was cheaper to get everything instead of sending anything back and buying 4 things! That’s the great thing about stitch fix, if you keep everything you get 25% off! If you would like to sign up, you can use our referral link here. and get a 15 dollar credit towards your box! See you next month!
