Happy Christmas in July! We’re doing fun Christmas projects for the rest of July and when I found this reverse canvas project I knew I had to try it! I used fun black, red and green ribbon pieces to make my trees more whimsical to go with my decor but the great thing about this project is you can make them any way you would like!

Supplies:
Canvas: I used a 12 X 12
Paint
Ribbons
Hot Glue
Hot Glue Gun

Canvas:
Take out the staples that hold the canvas to the frame. I used a screwdriver and pliers.
Take off the canvas.
I painted my frame red! You can leave it natural or paint it a color of your choice.
Once your frame is dry, trim your canvas to fit the frame (cut off the extra).
Once it is trimmed hot glue it to the back of the frame.

Ribbon Tree:
Print out the template if you need help, or are doing more than one and want the sizes to match!
Trace a triangle on your canvas lightly.
Hot glue your ribbon strips, mix and match and personalize to match your decor.
I did strips horizontally and vertically!
I added a wide piece of black and white ribbon to add a trunk to my tree! I painted a wooden bead black and put white polka dots for the top of the tree.

Watch the video below to see the steps and make it with me!
