Cookie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Unsalted Butter
  • 2 Cups White Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 6 Cups Flour
  • 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 Tsp Salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
  • Mix dry ingredients and add a little at a time to butter mixture. Mix at low speed until flour is completely incorporated and the dough comes together.
  • Chill for 1 to 2 hours.
  • Roll to desired thickness and cut into desired shapes.
  • Bake on ungreased baking sheet for 8 to 10 minutes or until just beginning to turn brown around the edges.

For the icing, mix the first half (up to and including the glycerin) and then mix the bottom half. Then mix them both together!

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Powdered Sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Meringue Powder
  • 1/4 Cup Water
  • 1 Tbsp Water
  • 1 Tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Tsp Glycerin (Optional)
  • 1 Pound Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Water
  • 1/4 Cup Light Corn Syrup
  • 1 Tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Tsp White Coloring Gel (Optional)
